The Best of John Williams

When: 3rd March

Where: Southbank Centre, London

What: If you’re a film score lover, this is the concert for you. London Concert Orchestra will perform Hollywood heavyweight John Williams’ most iconic music, including repertoire from ET, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Jaws and many more.

Southern Pro Musica: Family Classics

When: 3rd March, 1pm

Where: G Live, Guildford

What: This afternoon workshop session and concert is a great event if you’ve got children. The hands-on workshops offer the opportunity for children of all ages to try out all kinds of instruments and to enjoy the excitement of live music-making. A concert by the full professional SPM orchestra will follow – a fantastic way for all of the family to experience live music together.

Music and Drama Education Expo London

When: 6-7th March

Where: Olympia London

What: The Music and Drama Education Expo caters for everyone involved in music, performing arts or drama education, from instrumental teachers to performers and students. Through over 80 sessions, workshops, panel debates and chats, the show will cover a wide range of topics, including new educational trends, updates on new technologies, advice for private practitioners and more.

Let's Face the Music: A Tribute to Great Musicals

When: 17th March

Where: Royal Albert Hall, London

What: This concert is a must if you love the classic musicals from Hollywood’s golden age. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and several vocalists will perform numbers from My Fair Lady, The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, Guys & Dolls, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and many more.

Threshold Festival

When: 29-30th March

Where: Baltic Triangle, Liverpool

What: Threshold Festival will showcase some of the UK’s best grassroots music, visual arts and innovative performance. The two-day event will also host panels, talks and workshops centred around the future of the festival, the Baltic Triangle and the creative community as a whole.

Chelsea Blues, Rhythm and Rock Festival

When: 30th March

Where: Chelsea Under the Bridge

What: Chelsea Blues, Rhythm and Rock Festival will bring together some of the sounds from the heyday of music in the UK and a mix of contemporary artists. This year’s line-up includes Jethro Tull’s Martin Barre Band, Stevie Nimmo Trio, JFK Blue, Bourbon Street Revival, Deep Blue Sea, and many more still to be announced.
