Heavy Music Awards 2018

Here at Allianz Musical Insurance, we insure all different kinds of instruments and musicians, from classical pianists to hard rock drummers.

This year, we’re the Official Insurance Partner for the Heavy Music Awards, and we’re delighted to be involved in recognising the best talent in heavy music. We strongly believe in supporting musicians throughout their careers, and we hope our partnership enables more musicians to follow their passion and focus on making music.

Ahead of the Awards on 23rd August, here’s a rundown of the bands nominated for Best UK Breakthrough Band, an award we’re particularly excited about.

1) Bad Sign

Heavy and melodic three piece from south London – think dreamy melodies and huge riffs.

2) Conjurer

Dark and brooding post metal with sludgy riffs and an ominous feel.

3) Employed To Serve

Technical hardcore with infectious grooves and powerful vocals.

4) Holding Absence

Emotive post-hardcore quintet hailing from Cardiff.

5) Loathe

An experimental and progressive take on metalcore with industrial percussion, nu-metal grooves and electronic elements.

6) Milk Teeth

Punk with elements of grunge, emo and a good pinch of 90s nostalgia.

7) Venom Prison

Intense death metal and hardcore fusion.
