From garage music festivals to orchestral performances, there’s sure to be an event happening in April which you’ll love. Here’s our round up of what’s on next month.

The Fukushima Youth Sinfonietta

When: 1st April

Where: Southbank Centre, London

What: The Fukushima Youth Sinfonietta is one of the most positive things to emerge from the devastation of the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster in north-eastern Japan. The young musicians of this extraordinary orchestra are thrilled to return to London for a performance full of emotional intensity, with a programme including Tchaikovsky's captivating Fifth Symphony.

Lang Lang Scholars: Leeds Piano Festival

When: 4th April

Where: LSO St Luke's, London

What: Hand-picked and mentored by global piano sensation Lang Lang, these three young American pianists bring their prodigious talent to the Leeds Piano Festival. See the future stars of the piano world perform a mix of Mozart, Chopin and Liszt to name but a few.

UK Garage Fest

When: 19th April

Where: Great Suffolk Street Warehouse, London

What: A must for any garage lover, with a line-up including: Artful Dodger vs DJ Luck & MC Neat, Oxide & Neutrino, Romeo & Lisa Maffia and many more.

Brighton Music Conference

When: 24-27th April

Where: Brighton i360

What: Returning for its 6th year, Brighton Music Conference brings together leading delegates and speakers from The Electronic Music Industry at over 60 talks, 180 speakers, seminars and workshops, alongside networking and club events throughout the conference’s duration.

Music from the Star Wars Saga

When: 27th April

Where: Liverpool Philharmonic Hall

What: The full Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be joined by Marc Silk – better known as Aks Moe from The Phantom Menace – to present John Williams’ music from the entire Star Wars saga, from The Phantom Menace right through to The Last Jedi
