To ensure that everything runs smoothly in this sort of a situation, Jim Digby provides advice to organizers of live events. As president of the non-profit trade organization Event Safety Alliance (ESA), he improves the safety standards at large-scale events, including by cooperating with event insurers. Well-trained security personnel, an adequate medical supply and escape routes in the event of an on-site emergency are what matters most.
